Last recovery run

Had a good recovery run today with 3 people who run at a slower, easier pace.  They run/walk and it was enjoyable to relax and run with them.  Worked out perfect because after about a mile and a half I had to stop to go to the bathroom so I had a good “catch up” run for a mile or so.  With about a mile and a half two of us decided to pick it up and finish hard.  Felt really good.  I’m amazed at how my body feels.  So happy.

With the marathon I got in 42 miles in 3 runs for the week and that’s a good place to be with 3 weeks to go until New York.  Mentally I’ve switched from Chicago recovery to New York training.  Still working on my race plan, but definitely excited.
