Hangover Classic 10k
by petetanguay on Jan.01, 2009, under Races
Started the New Year by running the Hangover Classic 10k in Salisbury, MA. With 8 inches of snow in the last couple of days, the roads were slushy in places and it was cold and windy. Temperature was 15 degrees with a wind chill of -3, wind from the northwest about 20-25mph. Ocean temp was 39. This is the second time I’ve done this event (the first time I’ve taken the plunge) and it’s definitely a favorite.

Pete, this is one of my favorite picture of you, shows your all-out-ness, nice!

Too bad the video camera died right as you were walking into the ocean. You are a crazy guy but I love ya anyway!

I can’t stay in San Diego’s ocean during winter for more than 30 minutes without a full wetsuit… Brave guy you are! I wonder exactly what you were thinking right as that picture was taken!

I was thinking – “Man, that was salty”, “Did I really just do that”, “2009 has officially begun” and “That wasn’t so bad after all”
